下一代宝马x3将增加M版车型，这款内部编号为G01的全新X3将于明年底前发布，最近有人拍到了该车在欧洲进行测试的照片，新车看起来比现行版更大。据说该车将搭载一台3.0升直列六缸涡轮增压引擎，功率接近500马力。这款车上市后将成为奥迪RS Q5竞争车型，后者搭载一台3.0升V6双涡轮增压引擎，功率超过450马力。此外，奔驰-AMG GLC63搭载一台4.0升V8双涡轮增压引擎，功率也和X3 M接近。这意味着，X3 M上市后将面临奥迪和奔驰两款同级车型竞争。据报道，第三代X3重量将比现行版降低100公斤。除了增加M版车型，新一代X3还将增加长轴距版，后排腿部空间更充裕，该车将专供中国市场。

 

BMW X3 M reportedly in the works with 500 hp

The next-generation BMW X3 is set to spawn a mighty M version if we were to believe a report published by Focus.de this week.

 

Codenamed G01, the all-new X3 is scheduled to arrive before the end of next year and we have seen it already testing in Europe looking larger than the current model. It seems BMW has plans to expand the SAV’s lineup by introducing a range-topping M version later during the model’s life cycle. If the rumor turns out to be true, expect the X3 M to feature a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine pushing out close to 500 horsepower.

 

The addition of a fully-fledged M version shouldn’t come as a surprise taking into account Audi is preparing an RS Q5 which is said to employ a biturbo 3.0-liter V6 with more than 450 hp. In addition, there’s also going to be a Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 with a biturbo V8 4.0-liter that will likely be in the same ballpark in terms of power.

 

Reports say the third-gen X3 will lose almost 220 pounds (100 kilograms) compared to the current model, even though BMW will make it bigger to distance it from the X1.

 

Besides gaining an M version, the new X3 is also set to spawn a long-wheelbase derivative that could be offered exclusively in China where rear legroom is very important.
