2017 Maserati Quattroporte facelift spied for the first time

Maserati introduced the Quattroporte the three years ago so it comes as little surprise that the company is working on a facelift for its flagship sedan.

 

Recently caught undergoing testing in Sweden, this particular prototype doesn't reveal much besides a camouflaged rear bumper that is covered in snow. That's not much to go on but the production model is expected to feature an all-new front fascia with a revised grille and restyled headlights.

 

The interior remains a bit of a mystery but we wouldn't be surprised if the car was equipped with an updated Maserati Touch Control infotainment system that features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Customers can also expect to see revised trim and upholstery combinations as well as a handful of new options.

 

The Quattroporte's engine lineup will likely carryover but there could be some minor modifications to improve performance and fuel-efficiency. Details are lacking at this point but the current model can be equipped with everything from a 3.0-liter V6 diesel to a biturbo 3.8-liter V8 that develops 530 horsepower.

 

The facelifted Quattroporte is expected to be introduced sometime next year, so expect to learn more in the coming months.
