Maserati Levante spied showing new details

Maserati is putting the finishing touches on the Levante crossover in preparation for its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show.

 

Set to become one of the brand's most important models, the Levante is an upscale crossover that features a prominent grille, slender headlights, and a sporty front bumper.   Moving further back, we can see an upward sweeping beltline, muscular rear fenders, and a sloping roofline that is partially hidden by camouflage. The model also has a four-tailpipe exhaust system and angular taillights.

 

While most Maserati models only have a few powertrain combinations, the Levante will have several including a V6 engine with outputs of 345 horsepower and 419 hp. Buyers looking for something more powerful will be able to order a high-performance V8 engine that develops more than 552 hp. There will also be several different diesel variants with outputs of 246 hp, 271 hp, and 335 hp.

 

Later on, the company will introduce a plug-in hybrid variant. Little is known about it, but the model's eco-friendly powertrain will also be offered in the facelifted Ghibli and Quattroporte.
