Jeep has used the New England International Auto Show to introduce the 2016 Cherokee Overland.

 

Drawing inspiration from the Grand Cherokee Overland, the model has a monotone appearance as it features body-color bumpers, body cladding, and fender flares. The model also has HID bi-xenon headlights, chrome trim, a power liftgate, and 18-inch polished aluminum wheels.

 

The interior comes nicely equipped with Nappa leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, and a special steering wheel with Zebrano high-gloss wood trim. The crossover also has power front seats, heated / ventilated front seats, and an Alpine audio system. Other notable highlights include Berber floor mats, special door sill plates, and a Uconnect infotainment system with GPS navigation.

 

Speaking of technology, the Cherokee Overland comes standard with a Parksense backup assist system, a blind spot monitoring system, and rear crosspath detection.

 

Customers can also order the Technology Group package which adds a number of features including auto high beams, rain sensitive windshield wipers, a wireless smartphone charger, and an adaptive cruise control system. Other options include a Heavy Duty Protection package and a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine with 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque.

The Cherokee Overland will go on sale this spring and pricing starts at $34,695 - excluding a $995 destination fee.
