Lamborghini Centenario sold out already despite $2.38M price

Even though it hasn’t been officially revealed yet, the upcoming limited-run Lamborghini rumored to be called “Centenario” has already reached sold out status.

 

The model is being developed to celebrate 100 years since company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini was born, hence the speculations regarding the “Centenario” (centenary) moniker. The limited-run bull is said to receive the “LP770-4” suffix as well, thus indicating it will have 770 PS (759 hp) and an all-wheel drive system.

 

Earlier reports suggested it would be based on the Huracan, but Lamborghini dropped a hint last month indicating it’s going to ride on the same platform as the Aventador. Autocar has learned the plan is to make just 40 units (20 coupes & 20 roadsters) and all of them have already found an owner. The report mentions just one price, $2.38 million, and that’s likely for the coupe, so the open-top model was even more expensive.
