2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible spied

The Chevrolet Camaro SS is nothing to sneeze as it but muscle car enthusiasts will definitely want to check out the 2017 Camaro ZL1 Convertible which was recently spied undergoing testing.

 

While camouflage hides most of the styling details, the car will look virtually identical to the Camaro ZL1 Coupe which was spotted at the Nürburgring last fall. This means we can expect to see an aggressive front bumper, larger air intakes, and a bulging hood. The model is also slated to have sportier side skirts, a rear spoiler and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.

 

The interior will carryover from the standard model but we can expect to find a number of changes including special seats and revised instrumentation.

 

Bigger changes will occur under the hood as the Zl1 is expected to have a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine that produces 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. If these numbers pan out, the 2017 Camaro ZL1 will have 60 hp and 74 lb-ft more than its predecessor. 

 

The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is expected to be introduced later this year or early next year.
