Nissan has announced the 2016 Titan XD will be priced from $40,290.

 

The model isn't exactly cheap but it is important to note the truck will be available exclusively in a Crew Cab configuration at launch. Additional body styles will be offered in the future but in the meantime customers will only have to select between five different trim levels.

 

Entry-level variants are sparsely equipped but the range-topping Platinum Reserve variant features a host of upscale amenities. Highlights include heated / cooled front seats, open-pore wood trim, and a NissanConnect infotainment system with GPS navigation.

 

Power is provided by a 5.0-liter Cummins V8 turbodiesel engine that produces 310 hp (231 kW) and 555 lb-ft (751 Nm) of torque. It is connected exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional four-wheel drive system.

 

Next spring, the truck will be available with a 5.6-liter V8 petrol engine that produces 390 hp (290 kW) and 401 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque. This particular engine will be connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission which features Adaptive Shift Control and Downshift Rev Matching.

 

Nissan also confirmed plans for a third engine but details will be released at a later date.
