Jeep Wrangler Backcountry & Grand Cherokee SRT Night unveiled
Jeep has unveiled two new special editions ahead of their debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
First up, the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Night features a two-tone exterior with a Billet Silver, Granite Crystal or Velvet Red body that is contrasted by gloss black paint on the roof, window surrounds and rear spoiler. The model also has 20-inch 5Ten-style wheels with a satin black finish.
Moving onto the interior, buyers will find Black Laguna leather upholstery, silver accent stitching and light black chrome bezels. Customers can also order a rear entertainment system, a dual-pane sunroof and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
Power is provided by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that develops 475 bhp (354 kW) and 470 lb-ft (636 Nm) of torque. It enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h).
The Jeep Wrangler Backcountry, on the other hand, is an off-road focused model that is based on the Wrangler Sahara. It features unique powder coated bumpers, rock rails and Backcountry decals. The model also has a black fuel door, a black hard top and 17-inch Rubicon-style wheels with a gloss black finish.
To spruce up the cabin, designers installed black leather / mesh seats, diesel gray contrast stitching and piano black accents. There's also all-weather floor mats, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system and the Connectivity Group which adds Bluetooth connectivity.
The Wrangler Backcountry will go on sale later this month while the Grand Cherokee SRT Night will arrive at dealerships early next year.
