Lincoln has unveiled the 2017 MKZ.

 

Set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the facelifted model is a big departure from its predecessor as adopts an all-new front fascia that looks like it was lifted from the Jaguar playbook. We'll let you be the judge but the model has an all-new grille, restyled headlights and a modified hood.

 

The interior largely carries over but there's a revised center stack that sees the previous touch-sensitive controls replaced by conventional buttons, switches, and dials.

 

Under the hood, there's a new Lincoln-exclusive 3.0-liter GTDI V6 engine. It produces 350 bhp (261 kW) and 400 lb-ft (541 Nm) of torque when equipped with front-wheel drive but that figures climbs to 400 bhp (298 kW) and 400 lb-ft (541 Nm) of torque when the model is equipped with all-wheel drive.

 

The high-performance variant can also be equipped with a Driver’s Package which adds a "light magnetic" grille, black brake calipers, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The package also includes a black interior with multi-contour seats, faux carbon fiber trim, and aluminum pedal covers. More importantly, the package includes a retuned continuously controlled damping system and Dynamic Torque Vectoring.

 

The 2017 MKZ will also be offered with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a hybridized powertrain.

 

The facelifted MKZ will go on sale in the summer of 2016 so expect to learn more closer to launch.
