奔驰为应对宝马X4将推出GLC轿跑车，虽然该车要等到明年才能发布，但最近有人绘制了该车合成图，让我们先睹为快。在今年的上海车展上，奔驰称发布了一款GLC轿跑车概念版车型，同时表示有意推出X4竞争车型。从合成图看，车辆前半部分与GLC标准版一样，而后半部分则采用了类似轿跑车的顺滑车顶线条和侧面轮廓。不过，为了提升时尚性，最终量产版可能会概念车略小，同时行李箱储物空间也更小，后排头部空间更局促。对于喜欢这类车的消费者来说，这都不重要，重要的是它时尚的外观。该车与GLC标准版和新一代C级车共享MRA平台，因此动力系统也将共享，包括AMG GLC 63搭载的4.0升V8双涡轮增压引擎。预计奔驰将在明年日内瓦车展发布GLC轿跑车。

 

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe render sees into the future

Mercedes-Benz’s BMW X4 fighter has been rendered ahead of next year’s market launch.

 

By showing a near-production GLC Coupe concept earlier this year at Auto Shanghai, the Daimler-owned marque expressed its intentions of joining the crossover coupe bandwagon with a model that will have to face the more established X4 from Bavaria. There won’t be any surprises in terms of design as the car will look pretty much like this render, with the front half virtually carried over from the regular GLC while the rear half will adopt a more inclined roofline to enable a sleeker profile.

 

However, there are going to be some downsides as for the sake of added style the crossover will have a smaller trunk and less headroom for those sitting in the back. That’s probably not very important for someone who is in the market for such a niche model as the GLC Coupe will be tailored to those on the look for the latest posh car with a premium badge and a price to match its status.

 

It will ride on the same MRA platform that has underpinned the regular GLC and the latest C-Class, so it will get the same array of engines, all the way up to the twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter in the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupe which probably won’t be launched right away.

 

Expect to see the first ever GLC Coupe to show its production face at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
