MINI在东京车展发布了2016款MINI Cooper敞篷版。该车与MINI Cooper掀背车采用相同外观设计，只是拿掉了固定车顶，替换成折叠软顶，在车辆时速30公里以下时可以打开或关闭。该车的内部容积也更大，行李箱最大容积扩大至215立升。该车在上市之初可提供三种引擎，分别是1.5升TwinPower Turbo三缸引擎，功率100千瓦/136马力，扭矩220牛米；2.0升TwinPower Turbo四缸引擎，功率141千瓦/192马力，扭矩280牛米；1.5升TwinPower Turbo三缸柴油引擎，功率85千瓦/116马力，扭矩270牛米（在激活超增压模式下可提升至300牛米）。与引擎搭配的是六速手动或六速手自一体变速器。

 

MINI Cooper Convertible drops its top in Tokyo

MINI has dropped the top on the 2016 Cooper Convertible.

 

Currently on display at the Tokyo Motor Show, the redesigned model follows in the footsteps of the Cooper Hatchback but eschews the fixed roof for a retractable soft top that can be opened or closed in 18 seconds at speeds up to 30 km/h (18 mph). The model also has a more accommodating cabin and a larger trunk that holds up to 215 liters (7.6 cubic feet) of luggage.

 

At launch, the convertible will be available with three different engines including:

A 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder with 136 PS (100 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque - 230 Nm (169 lb-ft) with overboost

A 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder with 192 PS (141 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque - 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) with overboost

A 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder diesel with 116 PS (85 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque - 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) with overboost

 

The engines can be paired to either a six-speed manual or an optional automatic six-speed manual transmission.
