据传，宝马考虑推出9系轿跑车。该车如果获批将与劳斯莱斯下一代幻影基于同一平台并采用碳纤维增强复合材料客舱。虽然目前并未批准这款车，但确信其造型风格将深受Vision Future Luxury概念车影响。而该车动力系统很可能包括3.0升汽油和柴油引擎，4.4升V8涡轮增压引擎和混动系统。这款车将主要针对美国、中国和英国市场，直接竞争车型是奔驰S级轿跑车。

 

BMW 9-Series Coupe considered

According to the latest rumors around BMW, the company is currently considering a flagship 9-Series Coupe.

 

If green-lighted, the model will reportedly be based on the next-gen Rolls-Royce Phantom with CFRP for the passenger cell. The design conception has not been approved yet but it is believed the car will be influenced by the Vision Future Luxury Concept.

 

The engine range will likely consists of familiar 3.0-liter petrol and diesel engines, a more powerful 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged unit and a hybrid powerplant in the 940e version.

 

Targeted mainly to customers in USA, China and the UK, the model is believed to be a direct competitor for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe.
