Buick has announced a $33,990 starting price for the Cascada, their first US-spec convertible in the last 25 years.

 

This is basically America's version of the Opel Cascada and will start hitting dealerships early next year featuring plenty of standard kit, including dual-zone climate control, rearview camera, 7-inch touchscreen display, LED daytime running lights & taillights, along with remote start.

 

It has an acoustically and thermally insulated electro-hydraulic power roof that is lowered in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph (50 km/h). The 2016 Buick Cascada also gets standard leather upholstery, heated front seats, front & rear power outlets and a leather-covered steering wheel while the bi-color 20-inch alloys are also part of the deal.

 

Those willing to upgrade to the $36,990 Premium trim will be able to enjoy front & rear air deflectors, front & rear park assist, automatic headlights (with tunnel detection), automatic wipers, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and different 20-inch rims featuring a "diamond graphic" bi-color finish.

 

Buick is offering the 2016 Cascada exclusively with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine pushing out 200 bhp (149 kW) and 206 lb-ft (221 lb-ft with overboost) sent to the road through a 6-speed automatic transmission.
