Mercedes C-Class Coupe lineup unveiled with up to 510 PS
Mercedes has unveiled the new C-Class Coupe lineup at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Looking sportier and more stylish than its predecessor, the redesigned model follows in the footsteps of the S-Class Coupe and adopts a dynamic design that bound to turn a few heads.
The interior largely carries over from the sedan but that's not a bad thing as the cabin has high quality materials and a modern design that will likely provoke jealous reactions for 4-Series owners.
Under the hood, there will be a variety of different models with either a 1.6- and 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine including:
A C 180 with 156 PS (115 kW)
A C 200 with 184 PS (135 kW)
A C 250 with 211 PS (155 kW)
A C 300 with 245 PS (180 kW)
On the diesel side, there will be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that has outputs of 170 PS (125 kW) and 204 (150 kW).
Should those fail to spark your interest, the high-performance C63 AMG features a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 476 PS (469 bhp / 349 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) - or 290 km/h (180 mph) with the optional AMG's Driver's Package.
Likewise, the C63 S has an upgraded twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 510 PS (503 bhp / 375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to rocket from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds before topping out at an electronically-limited 250 km/h (155 mph) - or 290 km/h (180 mph) with the optional AMG's Driver's Package.
