Chinese company Geely has released the first teaser images of a new crossover.

 

Shared by Autoblog.com, these computer renderings preview what appears to be a compact SUV with sleek ‘European’ design, made by an international team headed by Peter Horbury, ex-Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin designer.

 

Details on the yet-unnamed SUV are scarce at the moment, but judging by the images it will be heavily influenced by the GC9 flagship sedan that was revealed last year. At launch, the model will be available exclusively in China.

 

While nothing is confirmed yet, power could be provided by the same three petrol engines like the GC9. These include a 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit with 160 PS (118 kW) and 210 Nm (155 lb-ft), a 1.8 turbo with 180 PS (132 kW) and 285 Nm (210 lb-ft) and a range-topping 3.5-liter V6 mill with 270 PS (199 kW) and 345 Nm (255 lb-ft).

 

An official debut could occur during the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
