Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe reportedly leaks out early

The first purported pictures of the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe have surfaced online.

 

Apparently taken during a presentation, the somewhat grainy pictures reveal the model will have an aggressive front bumper with a single bar grille and a sporty lower air intake which mimics the rest of the AMG lineup. Moving further back, we can see aerodynamic side skirts, "V8 Biturbo" badging and a trunk-mounted spoiler. The high-performance coupe also has a stylish rear bumper, a diffuser and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.

 

Power will be provided by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 503 bhp (375 kW) and 516 lb-ft (698 Nm) of torque. It will be connected to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission which should enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.9 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of roughly 180 mph (289 km/h).

 

If that sounds like overkill, there will so be an entry-level variant with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 469 bhp (349 kW) and 479 lb-ft (648 Nm) of torque. Despite being significantly less powerful, the model should still offer impressive performance as it is expected to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately four seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
