Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster unveiled

Lamborghini has taken the wraps off the Aventador Super Veloce Roadster.

 

Set to debut at Pebble Beach, the Aventador SV Roadster closely echoes the coupe but eschews the hardtop for two matte black quick release panels that each weigh less than 6 kg. The model also has a familiar aerodynamic body kit an a power retractable rear windscreen.

 

Power is provided by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 750 PS (552 kW) and 690 Nm (507 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed ISR transmission and an all-wheel drive system which enables the 1575 kg (3472 lb) roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).
