The 2016 Toyota Prius has been spied inside and out.

 

Caught undergoing testing in the United States, the redesigned model has an aerodynamic front fascia with an angular lower intake and slender grille which is flanked by new headlights. The model also has an upward sweeping beltline, a sporty roof and an evolutionary rear end.

 

Moving on to the interior, we can see a three-spoke steering wheel, white trim and a prominent infotainment system. The top of the dash also has a center-mounted speedometer, a gearbox indicator and a small display that shows how the hybrid system is working.

 

Technical specifications remain unconfirmed but the model is expected to have a hybrid powertrain that consists of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor and nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion battery. This will reportedly enable the model to produce a combined maximum output of 150 PS (110 kW).
