最近有人拍到了黑色和白色Smart ForTwo敞篷版无伪装照片，当时这两辆车正在进行最终测试。从照片看，敞篷版除了采用电控折叠软顶之外，其余部分与标准版别无二致。新车采用的防翻滚杠似乎比上一款车型更坚固一些，这有助于提升车辆转向时的稳定性。该车动力系统与硬顶版相同，同样为1.0升自然进气引擎，功率60/71马力，另外还有一台0.9升涡轮引擎，功率66千瓦/90马力，标配五速手动变速器并可选装六速双离合器变速器。Smart很可能会选择在9月法兰克福车展发布该车，不过也不排除在8月底提前亮相的可能性。

An undisguised black & white duo of Smart ForTwo Cabrio prototypes has been spotted up close during final testing.

 

Smart doesn't even bother anymore putting camouflage on its roofless ForTwo prototypes and that shouldn't come as a surprise since we all know how it will look like. The body is virtually carried over from the standard model, with the obvious exception of the electrically retractable soft top which on the black prototype was open. The roll bar seems a bit sturdier compared to the previous generation and this should boost the car's stability when cornering.

 

Power will come from the same naturally aspirated 1.0-liter engine with 60 PS & 71 PS and a beefier 0.9-liter turbo developing 90 PS (66 kW). Smart will be offering a five-speed manual transmission and an optional twinamic dual-clutch six-speed gearbox.

 

A public debut is likely scheduled for mid-September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but Smart will probably decide to show us the open-top ForTwo before that, possibly by the end of August.
