Porsche Pajun electric concept reportedly heading to IAA
French media is reporting Porsche has plans to stage the world premiere of a Pajun concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September.
It will allegedly take the shape of a hatchback measuring 4.8 meters in length which would make it around 20 cm shorter than the Panamera. The vehicle is believed to adopt a pure electric powertrain, but technical specifications such as power, performances and maximum range are not available at this point.
A production version is expected to come out sometime in 2018 or 2019 and will likely be based on the second generation Panamera. While this latest rumor from L'Automobile indicates the car will be offered in combustion, hybrid and electric flavors, a report issued by Auto Motor und Sport from the beginning of the year stated the Pajun will be electric-only.
The Porsche Junior (Pajun) apparently has the Tesla Model S in its sights and will be previewed at IAA set for September, so we could have details and images by the end of August if the report turns out to be legit.
