Hyundai i30 N prototype spied at the Nurburgring

Hyundai's N performance sub-brand is showing signs of life as our spies have caught a hot i30 at the Nürburgring.

 

Caught near the company's testing facility, the i30 N prototype is based on the pre-facelift model and features a prominent front spoiler and attractive alloy wheels which backed up by a high-performance braking system with red calipers. The model also appears to have auxiliary gauges and a sport-tuned suspension that has reduced the car's ride height.

 

Specifications remain a mystery but the model is expected to use an upgraded version of the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that normally develops 186 PS (137 kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque.
