The all-new second generation BMW X1 has been spotted in the metal for the first time.

 

These pictures were taken during the official press launch of the machine by a reader of Bimmertoday. One of the examples wears a Chestnut Bronze Metallic body paint, while the other one has a traditional silver paint.

 

As we have already informed you, the X1 will go on sale in Germany in October this year, while US sales will start shortly after. At launch, the vehicle will be offered with three diesel and two petrol engines with power ranging from 150 PS (110 kW) to 231 PS (170 kW).

 

Thanks to its increased size and the switch to front-wheel drive, the new X1 grants passengers with 37 mm bigger rear knee space and 85 liters bigger cargo space.
