Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Roadster announced

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has confirmed plans for an Aventador Superveloce Roadster.

 

Speaking to Top Gear, Winkelmann said the company is currently accepting orders and production will be limited to 500 units. 

 

The executive was tight-lipped about additional information but the model will undoubtedly use a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 750 PS (552 kW) and 690 Nm (507 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a seven-speed ISR transmission and an all-wheel drive system. This enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph), so expect the roadster to post similar figures.
