Aston Martin reveals DB9 GT with 547 PS 6.0-liter engine

Aston Martin has taken the wraps off the DB9 GT that will be showcased during the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week.

 

The luxury machine offers black painted splitter and diffuser and revised headlights and taillights, as well as new ten-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels. Black anodized brake calipers and a GT engraving on the aluminium fuel filler cap further distinguish the DB9 GT from the standard DB9.

 

Inside, the cabin features a 2+2 seating configuration, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and various center console finishes, such as Ice Mocha and Copper Cuprum.

 

Described as “the most compelling production ‘DB’ to date”, the model comes with an upgraded 6.0-liter V12 petrol engine that is capable of generating 547 PS (402 kW) at 6,750 rpm and 620 Nm (458 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500 rpm. It is mated to a rear mid-mounted Touchtronic II six-speed transmission with electronic shift-by-wire control system, which enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 183 mph.

 

Other technical features of the DB9 GT include an independent double wishbone suspension all around and a three-stage Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with Normal, Sport and Track modes for “the broadest possible breadth of dynamic characteristics.”

 

The DB9 GT is already available to order with prices starting from 140,000 GBP (UK), 187,000 EUR (Germany) and 199,950 USD (USA).
