Opel Astra pricing announced in Germany; starts at €17,960

Opel has announced pricing details for the Astra K sold at home in Germany.

 

The base version kicks off at €17,960 and comes with a small three-cylinder 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 105 PS (77 kW). It can be paired to a standard manual five-speed transmission which will enable the compact hatchback consume 4.3 liters / 100 km (54.7 mpg US or 65.6 mpg UK) with corresponding CO2 emissions of 99 g/km while with the optional automated five-speed it manages to sip just 4.2 liters / 100 km (67.2 mpg US or 56 mpg UK) with 96 g/km of CO2.

 

If you want your Astra to be even more economical, go for the 1.6 CDTI "whisper diesel" engine version that starts at €20,260 and is offered with 95 PS (70 kW) and 136 PS (100 kW). When combined with a six-speed manual, this version will consume just 3.4 liters / 100 km (83 mpg US or 69.1 mpg UK) and emit only 90 g/km of CO2.
