New Volkswagen California unveiled, based on the T6
Volkswagen has introduced their new California.
Based on the recently introduced T6, the entry-level California features a manual pop-top, blinds and seating for up to seven people. The van also comes with a removable picnic table and folding chairs that are mounted to the tailgate.
Moving up the mid-level California Coast rewards buyers with a cooking area that includes a stainless steel sink, a two burner stove and a 42 liter cooler. The model also has higher-end furniture with aluminum and wood accents.
Last but not least, the range-topping California Ocean has double glazed windows and a power pop-top roof. Other highlights include dimmable LED lights and an auxiliary heating seating.
At launch, the model will be offered with a variety of TDI engines that have outputs ranging from 84-204 PS (62-150 kW). They will eventually be joined by two petrol engines with outputs of 149 PS (110 kW) and 204 PS (150 kW).
The Volkswagen California is currently available to order and German pricing starts at €41,429.85.
