Cadillac SRX successor confirmed for early 2016

Cadillac has announced plans to introduce the SRX successor early next year.

 

While the company didn't have much to say about the crossover, previous spy photos have shown it will feature upscale styling and a more cohesive design than its predecessor.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but choices will likely include a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with approximately 265 bhp (198 kW) and a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 with roughly 335 bhp (250 kW).

 

Besides announcing plans for the SRX successor, Cadillac confirmed their 2016 model lineup - excluding the current SRX - will feature an improved CUE infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The system also gains a more powerful processor, a simplified navigation system and a new Surround Vision function on CTS, XTS and Escalade models.
