Peugeot "408 GT" four-door coupe in the pipeline?

Peugeot is working on a "408 GT" four-door coupe to rival the Volkswagen CC.

 

It will ride on the same EMP2 platform which has underpinned the 308 hatchback while the styling is said to be influenced by the rather stunning Exalt concept. Power is expected to come from the familiar PureTech gasoline engines topping out with a 267 bhp 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo while the BlueHDi diesels will range in output from 120 bhp to 180 bhp.

 

There also might be a hybrid version in the same vein as the aforementioned Exalt which mixed up an RCZ R-sourced 1.6-liter turbo with an electric motor to enable a 340 bhp combined output channeled to the wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
