New Bentley Bentley Continental GT coming in 2017

New details are starting to emerge about the next-generation Bentley Continental GT.

 

According to Auto Express, the redesigned coupe will be launched in 2017 and ride on a shortened version of the MSB platform that underpins the second-generation Porsche Panamera. This will likely result in a sportier and lighter Continental GT which could have styling cues from the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept.

 

Little else is known about the model but it is expected to be offered with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The model could also use the company's new twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 TSI engine that was unveiled at the Vienna Motor Symposium last week. It produces 608 PS (600 bhp / 447 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque and will enable an undisclosed model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than four second before hitting a top speed in excess of 300 km/h (186 mph).
