MINI has released the UK pricing information about the MINI John Cooper Works, as well as a new high-resolution gallery with 205 photos.
The manual version of the hot hatch will cost from 23,050 GBP, while the one fitted with a six-speed Steptronic transmission will be available at 24,380 GBP.
“The most powerful production MINI ever” has a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, generating 231 PS (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft), available in the 1,250 – 4,800 rpm range. These figures are enough for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 6.1 seconds (6.3 seconds with the manual gearbox).
The acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h (50-75 mph) is completed in 5.6 seconds (manual gearbox), which is a 10 per cent improvement over the previous model, and a time which “puts many sports cars in the shade”. Top speed is rated at 153 mph.
The average fuel consumption is rated at 6.7 l/100 km with the manual and at 5.7 l/100 km with the automatic. CO2 emissions stand at 155 g/km (133 g/km with the auto).
