三菱第二代ASX将增加Evo高性能版本。三菱总裁Tetsuro Aikawa近日在接受媒体采访时透露，三菱计划推出采用插电混动系统的Evo高性能版跨界车。而这款ASX则是在3月日内瓦车展发布的XR-PHEV II概念车的量产版车型。不过，量产版不会再采用概念车前轮驱动，而是直接上全驱系统以使其具备更纯粹的Evo血统。第二代ASX将于明年上市，而Evo版本则要在标准版成功占领市场之后的“不久的将来”发布。

 

Second-gen Mitsubishi ASX could spawn Evo version with plug-in hybrid setup

A new report indicates the second generation Mitsubishi ASX crossover could receive a hot Evo derivative.

 

It seems Mitsubishi is preparing a different type of Evo-badged model as it won't have anything to do with the legendary Lancer Evolution. Speaking to British magazine Autocar, Mitsubishi's president Tetsuro Aikawa revealed the company’s desire to launch an Evo-named version of a crossover with a plug-in hybrid arrangement.

 

The model in question is believed to be based on the second generation ASX which has already been previewed by the XR-PHEV II concept showcased at last month's Geneva Motor Show. The concept itself was a follow-up to the XR-PHEV from the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show while the production version will ditch the concept's FWD layout to make room for an AWD system to keep some form of connection with previous Evo models.

 

The second-gen ASX will be launched next year, but the high performance version will be out "far in the future" and only if the regular model will be a success.
