2016 Subaru WRX & WRX STI unveiled
Subaru has announced a series of updates to the 2016 WRX and WRX STI.
First and foremost, the entry-level WRX features a new STARLINK infotainment system with a 6.2-inch display. It features a CD player, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio and Bluetooth/iPod/USB/AUX connectivity - among other things.
The WRX can also be equipped with an upgraded EyeSight system with Lane Keep Assist. It uses the vehicle’s electric power steering system to help the driver in their lane.
Last but not least, WRX Premium and Limited variants gain new 18-inch alloy wheels with summer tires.
Changes to the WRX STI are limited but include a no-cost rear spoiler and the aforementioned infotainment system. However, the WRX STI Limited gains several new features including Keyless Access, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Pricing starts at $26,595 for the WRX, while the WRX STI retails for $34,695.
