Bentley to reveal hardcore rear-wheel drive model next year

Bentley will reportedly introduce an extreme rear-wheel drive sports coupe in 2016.

 

According to Autocar, the model will be based on the current Continental GT and will be “a far more extreme offering than the four-wheel-drive GT3-R”. The new hardcore vehicle will use a tuned version of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with power of 572 bhp (427 kW). It will be up to 200 kg (440 lbs) lighter than the GT3-R thanks to “unprecedented” use of lightweight materials.Production will likely be limited with prices starting at around 300,000 GBP (410,000 EUR).
