Renault Megane GT220 introduced with 220 HP

Renault has launched the GT220 modification for the Megane model lineup.

 

Available for the Hatch, Coupé and Sport Tourer variants, the GT220 comes equipped with a Renaultsport-engineered chassis, 18-inch Serdard alloy wheels, ventilated 320 mm front discs and 260 mm solid rear brake discs, as well as a more progressive servo-assistance thanks to the fitment of a new RS master cylinder.

 

In terms of design, the Megane GT220 features a new front bumper with a reshaped central air intake, while at the back the bumper has a lower section finished in body color and a new aerodynamic diffuser.

 

Power is provided by a 2.0-liter 16-valve turbocharged petrol engine, generating 220 HP (162 kW) at 4,750 rpm and 340 Nm (250 lb-ft) of torque at 2,400 rpm. Driving the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, this unit enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph).
