Chevrolet confirms Bolt EV production

Chevrolet has announced plans to produce the Bolt EV at the Orion Assembly factory near Detroit.

 

They are targeting a starting price of around $30,000 for what will be a fully electric vehicle capable of providing an estimated range of 200 miles (322 km). GM will invest $160 million in the Orion Assembly factory to get it ready for the Bolt while the Pontiac Metal Center facility will receive $40 million funding for tooling and equipment.
