Production Euro-spec Honda Jazz revealed with 1.3-liter i-VITEC engine

Honda has finally revealed the production version of the Euro-spec 2015 Honda Jazz prior to debut in Geneva next week.

 

Arriving in Europe in summer 2015, the model comes with a familiar design that features swept back headlights and a radiator grille with polished black finish. Essentially a European version of the Fit, the car is 95mm longer than its predecessor and has a 30mm stretched wheelbase.

 

Thanks to this and the integration of the company’s Magic Seats system, the Jazz offers “unmatched versatility” as well as “class-leading space, with a range of configurations for carrying cargo and passengers”. Boot space has been increased to 354 liters with the rear seats in use and 884 liters with the rear seats down.

 

The model will also be available with the latest version of the Honda Connect system and a 7-inch display on the center console. The infotainment system offers internet browsing and access to real-time news, traffic and weather and internet music stations.

 

Based on the same platform that underpins the new HR-V, the third generation of the vehicle will be powered by a 1.3-liter petrol engine from Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology series. Generating a maximum output of 102 HP (75 kW) at 6,000 rpm, the unit will be mated to a new 6-speed manual gearbox or a semi-automatic CVT transmission.
