Next-gen Ferrari 458 Italia to spawn an entry-level variant with a twin-turbo V6

Rumors about an entry-level Ferrari have been circulating for months but new details are starting to emerge about the model.

 

According to Car Magazine, the entry-level model could be introduced around 2019 as a more affordable offshoot of the next-generation 458 Italia. Nothing is official but speculation suggests the car would be smaller and lighter than the next 458 Italia and feature a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine that develops approximately 500 bhp (372 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque.

 

If this rumor pans out, the next-generation 458 Italia would likely become more aggressive and powerful to help distance itself from the entry-level model.
