Bentley entry-level coupe could be based on the Audi R8
Bentley CEO Wolfgang Durheimer recently confirmed plans for a fifth model and new details are starting to emerge about the possible entry-level coupe.
According to Autocar, the model would follow in the footsteps of the Hunaudiéres concept that was introduced at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. The magazine goes on to say the car would likely be based on the Audi R8 but adopt a W12 engine instead of a V10. This seems to contradict previous reports which suggested the model could be offered with a twin-turbo V8 and a hybridized V6.
The two-seater hasn't been green-lighted but Durheimer said the company is considering it alongside a model that would slot between the Continental GT and Mulsanne.
