捷豹计划用更大的XJ轿跑车替代XK,不过该车至少要等到2017年才会发布。目前已经陈旧的XK将于今年夏季退市，因此捷豹正在开发新车以填补XK退市后留下的空白。据英国《Auto Express》网站报道，替代车型将不再采用XK这一名称，捷豹计划用更大，更高端的XJ轿跑车替代XK，以便能与同级车型中的奔驰S级和宾利欧陆GT竞争。很显然，XJ轿跑车将采用2+2座椅布局，利用延长后的F-Type平台并将搭载多台V6和V8机械增压引擎。与其说这款车像是一辆超大尺寸的F-Type，不如说是一辆双门版的XJ衍生车型，它同样采用大尺寸前格栅，进气口边框镀铬装饰和水平设置前大灯。捷豹目前计划推出多款新车，包括在明年中期发布XE小型轿车，2016年发布基于C-X17概念车的首款SUV，以及XE轿跑车和旅行车。因此，不要指望XJ轿跑车会很快推出，该车最快也要等到2017年发布。

Jaguar XJ Coupe to replace XK

Jaguar is allegedly planning to replace the XK with a larger XJ Coupe but it won't come out until at least 2017.

The aging XK will be phased out this summer so naturally Jaguar is working on a model to fill in the void. Auto Express is reporting a replacement will not wear the XK badge as it seems they plan a larger and more upscale XJ Coupe to compete with the big boys in this class such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and Bentley Continental GT.

It will actually be a 2+2 grand tourer riding on a stretched platform of the F-Type and will be powered by several supercharged V6 and V8 gasoline engines. Rather than looking like an oversized F-Type, it will essentially be a two-door coupe derivative of the XJ with a larger front grille, chromed front air intakes and horizontal headlights.

Jaguar has a lot on its plate right now as they are planning to introduce the XE small sedan slated for a mid-2015 market release, followed in early 2016 by an SUV previewed by the C-X17 concept, as well as coupe and estate derivatives of the XE. As a consequence, don't expect the XJ Coupe to be launched sooner than 2017.
