2015 Acura TLX to debut in New York

Acura has announced plans to introduce the 2015 TLX at the New York Auto Show.

 

Previewed by the TLX concept, the production model promises to deliver "higher levels of luxury refinement and sports-sedan athleticism."

 

Speaking of performance, the TLX will be offered with two different engines. Specifications were not announced but Acura confirmed there will be a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 3.5-liter V6. The four-cylinder engine will be connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the V6 will be paired to a nine-speed automatic. The latter engine can also be can be backed up by an optional Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system that has a new torque-vectoring control logic.

 

The model will also be outfitted with a variety of safety equipment including Collision Mitigation Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow and Blind Spot Indicator.
