New details are starting to emerge about Opel's entry-level model.
Designed to battle the Volkswagen up!, the unnamed city car is expected to be based on the 2015 Chevrolet Spark. Little else is known about the model but previous spy photos have shown the Spark will have an evolutionary design with a sloping roofline.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but speculation suggests there could be a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine. It will likely have outputs of 90 HP (66 kW) and 115 HP (85 kW).
If everything pans out, the model could be launched in late 2015 or early 2016 and cost less than ￡7,000 ($11,635 / €8,370) in the United Kingdom.
