2016 Volkswagen Passat to could get a more stylish exterior
The US-spec Volkswagen Passat is as roomy as it is anonymous but that could change when the model receives a facelift in 2016.

Volkswagen was coy on specifics but the company's Head of Powertrain Development, Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neu?er, told Car & Driver they could benefit from shorter product cycles and "fresh outside designs."

His sentiments were echoed by Volkswagen of America CEO Michael Horn who said “We are quite aware that we have to do something to keep the car fresh in the market." He declined to go into specifics but hinted the facelifted Passat will include a lot of new features and driver assistance systems.
