Production Maserati Alfieri could be offered with twin-turbo V6 engines

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne recently hinted the Maserati Alfieri concept could go into production in 24-28 months and new details are starting to emerge about the model.

 

According to Autocar, the production model would likely be based on the same platform that underpins the Quattroporte and Ghibli. Engine options would likely carryover from the latter model and include a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with outputs of 330 HP (243 kW) and 410 HP (310 kW).

 

If the model is green-lighted, it could carry a base price of approximately ￡60,000 ($100,345 / ￡72,360) which put it in the same ballpark as the Jaguar F-Type.
