Hyundai PassoCorto concept by IED shows futuristic styling in Geneva

The striking Hyundai PassoCorto concept has been spotted in Geneva ahead of tomorrow's proper public unveiling.

 

Hyundai's latest concept hasn't been designed by Peter Schreyer as the PassoCorto (Italian for "short wheelbase") represents the work of Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) who wanted to express their vision of a Hyundai competitor for the Alfa Romeo 4C.

Sporting a futuristic and radical styling approach, the Hyundai PassoCorto has been filmed while arriving at the 84th Geneva Motor Show with its carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a 270 bhp (201 kW) 1.6-liter twin-turbo engine. The orange mid-engined two-seater weighs only 840 kg (1,852 lbs) so it should be a feisty coupe in the same vein as the aforementioned 4C.
