2015 Jaguar XF R-SPORT announced, debuts in Geneva

Jaguar has announced plans to introduce the 2015 XF R-Sport at the Geneva Motor Show.

 

Available as a sedan and wagon, the XF R-Sport promises to offer a "compelling combination of elegance and real-world efficiency."

 

On the styling front, the model is distinguished by a sporty front bumper, revised side skirts and a rear spoiler. The car has also been equipped gloss black trim and 17-inch alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tires.

 

Interior changes are limited but the cabin comes nicely equipped with black "Suedecloth" seats that have dove, tan or red contrast stitching. The model also has stainless steel pedals, dark oak / piano black / carbon fiber trim and R-Sport badging on the steering wheel and tread plates.

 

Power is provided by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 163 HP (120 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 9.8 seconds (0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds) and hit a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h). In terms of efficiency, owners can expect to average 57.7 mpg UK (48 mpg US / 4.9L/100km) with CO2 emissions of 129 g/km.
