菲亚特准备在下月初开幕的日内瓦车展发布一款外观更粗犷的“ Cross”版熊猫。该车将配备更具肌肉感车身组件，包括类似越野车的前保险杠，重新设计的雾灯，超大尺寸轮拱和车顶行李架。另外后保险杠也与标准版不同，同时提供15英寸合金轮圈以突出外观变化。车厢内配备真皮装饰并标配Blue&Me信息娱乐系统和气候控制系统。熊猫Cross四驱版本还搭载扭矩随选四驱系统，该系统可以根据所需牵引力分配前后轴扭矩。该系统还可提供包括陡坡缓降模式在内的各种辅助模式，同时悬挂系统也获得升级，采用了前麦佛逊支柱和新的扭力梁后悬。该车动力系统包括0.9升TwinAir涡轮增压引擎，功率66千瓦/90马力，扭矩145牛米，1.3升MultiJet涡轮柴油引擎，功率59千瓦/80马力，扭矩190牛米。值得一提的是，这两台引擎的功率分别比熊猫系统其他车型搭载的相同引擎提升了5马力。菲亚特称，将为汽油引擎提供专门开发的六速手动变速器，其第一档位行程更短以便更好的应对复杂路面。该车将于今年秋季上市，售价将略高于熊猫4x4。

 

Fiat Panda Cross gains rugged looks for 2014 Geneva show

Fiat has prepared a more rugged-looking version of the Panda called "Cross" which will receive its first public outing at the 84th Geneva Motor Show early next month.

 

Fiat's manlier Panda has received a beefed up body kit with an off-road-like front bumper, redesigned fog lights, oversized wheel arches and roof bars. It also comes with a different rear bumper and unique 15-inch alloy wheels which round off the exterior changes. Inside it gets a leather trim along with standard goodies such as Blue&Me infotainment system and climate control.

 

The Fiat Panda Cross is equipped with the torque-on-demand system available in the Panda 4x4 which can distribute torque between the front and rear axles depending on available traction. It comes with a variety of assistance modes such as Hill Descent Control while the suspension has been updated with a MacPherson front setup and a new torsion beam rear.

 

Motorization is provided by a turbocharged 0.9-liter TwinAir with 90 HP (66 kW) and 107 lb-ft (145 Nm) as well as by a 1.3-liter MultiJet turbodiesel rated at 80 HP (59 kW) and 140 lb-ft (190 Nm) of torque. It should be mentioned these two engines are 5 HP more powerful than what they offer in the rest of the Panda range. Fiat says they are offering a specific variant of the six-speed manual transmission for the gasoline engine which has a shortened first gear to better handle harder terrain.

 

The model is slated to go on sale this fall and will be a bit more expensive than the aforementioned Panda 4x4.
