2015 Ford S-Max spied for the first time

The 2015 Ford S-Max has been spied undergoing testing in the United States.

 

Previewed by the S-Max concept, the production model has a stylish exterior that borrows cues from the Fusion / Mondeo. As a result, the MPV has a familiar front fascia with a prominent grille and sweptback headlights. We can also see a steeply raked windscreen, a sloping roofline and a heavily camouflaged rear end that could hold a surprise or two.

 

Little else is known about the model but it is expected to ride on the global CD-segment platform that underpins its sedan counterparts. This means engine options will likely carryover from the Fusion and Mondeo so expect choices to include a 1.0-liter EcoBoost, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost. There could also be 1.6- and 2.0-liter TDCi diesel engines.
