Cadillac ATS-V to have a twin-turbo V6 with 425 bhp

According to a recent report, the 2015 Cadillac ATS-V will be equipped with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 425 bhp (317 kW).

 

This figure matches the BMW M3, but Motor Trend is reporting the company is also working an ATS-V+ which will use a V8 engine.

 

The report goes on to state the CTS-V won't use the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine that recently debuted in the Corvette Z06. Instead, they suggest it will use a twin-turbo version of the LT1 V8 engine that resides in the Corvette Stingray. The magazine says this particular engine will also power the next Corvette ZR1 but Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter recently downplayed the possibility of a new ZR1.
