The 2015 Land Rover Freelander has been spied undergoing cold weather testing.

 

Dressed in digital camouflage, the redesigned model is significantly larger than its predecessor and adopts a stylish exterior that borrows cues from the Evoque and Range Rover Sport. Despite the company's best efforts, we can see the model will have an angular front fascia, sweptback headlights and a clamshell hood. The crossover also has a sloping roofline, a tailgate-mounted spoiler, a dual exhaust system and distinctive LED taillights.

 

Specifications are still shrouded in secrecy but the model is expected to ride on an extended version of the LR-MS platform. This should create an accommodating cabin with more interior room than the Evoque.

 

Engine options remain unconfirmed but the model could use a new range of four-cylinder units that offer improved fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.
