Volkswagen to introduce eco-friendly and off-road concepts in Detroit
A few weeks ago, the North American International Auto Show announced Volkswagen would unveil two new concepts in Detroit. Now, new details are starting to emerge about the mysterious models.
According to Automotive News, one concept will be based on a pre-existing model but feature a "fuel-saving powertrain." Little else is known about the model but sources suggest the powertrain could be offered in production models.
The second concept is shrouded in mystery but it is reportedly an "off-road concept based on a mainstay model of the VW brand."
Volkswagen's press conference is scheduled for January 13th, so expect to learn more next week.
